At UC Berkeley, there is a dynamic team consisting of creative young Chinese students. That, is our "Little Tigers Team"
Founded in 2009, the "Little Tigers Team" is a family of students from different regions of China. With both undergraduate and graduate students from mathematics, psychology, economics, business administration, chemical engineering, environmental science, architecture, computer science, biochemistry, electronic engineering, the team is talented and warm-hearted. Our team members are all unique individuals with special experience. Some of us play multiple musical instruments, perform hip-hop, take an active part in intramural tennis or soccer team and are world travelers. Some of us are professional athletes, computer experts. Some of us have worked in Syria for six months, been the founder of Model United Nations competition and volunteering team... The "Little Tigers Team" is always full of wisdom and passion!
Led by Xiaosi Zhang, the gala project manager and Guorui Su, the project consultant, the team is structured into three parts: Program Coordinators, Marketing Coordinators and Sponsorship Coordinators. Starting from a pure idea about the banquet, the "Little Tigers Team" is making progress step by step: searching and negotiating with the site managers about every detail of the program flow, drafting sponsorship proposals, looking for supports from alumni, academia, industry community, etc. In spite of the intense academics at UC Berkeley, every member of the team spares no effort to make his or her own contribution to the event. No matter how busy we are, the team keeps meeting regularly and debates rigorously. No matter how tired they are, the members of the "Little Tigers Team" are always excited about every creative idea popped up. Thanks to all of their wisdom and perseverance, the whole team has overcome all kinds of difficulties one after another. The achievements they have made are admirable, and there is no doubt that the "Little Tigers Team" will keep putting efforts in whatever they are doing to realize their grant vision of supporting social innvations.
In the past, the "Little Tigers Team" has been trying to challenge themselves and surpass themselves. Every little step of progress is cherished as a big encouragement. In the future, they will always be dedicated to realize their impacts and dreams, and let "Little Tigers Team" become everyone's pride!

Program Team:
From a team member's perspective:
I don't know when our team began to be called the "smart tiger". To be honest, my teammates do not all look like super stars, especially for our team leader. However, their staidness and passion have bestowed them the unique charisma. Our team is responsible for a variety of tasks, such as constructing the website, designing the flow of gala, solving the technical issues of global broadcast, and computing and controlling the carbon emission of the gala. Because of the heavy work load, it is really usual for our team member to stay up late to finish the work. Considering the team members' health, we made a rule that everyone must stop all the work at 2am except the extreme case happens. However, we gradually realized that the extreme case happens every weekend. We have spent countless weekend-night in stern lounge working for our program. Sometimes, I felt really exhausted, but I am re-energized immediately once I thought that I am doing a great project. I think my team members may have the same idea as I did.

Sponsorship Team:
From team leader's perspective: Team of Sponsorship is a team of vibrant future elites. I can easily name tons of incredible characters from our members, such as knowledgeable, eloquent, passionate, and dedicated etc. More importantly, we work hard together as team to tackle every difficulty we face on our path to host a successful event. Days and nights, we make endless phone calls, write numerous emails and proposals, and sometimes even sacrifice our weekends to approach our sponsors. With all the all-nighters we pulled and all the effort we made, I truly believe Team of Sponsorship, along with rest of the gala crew, would make a difference in social entrepreneurs¡¯ world by present them a night of amazingness on April 25th, 2010.
