I sincerely welcome you to join us, and to take action for our common cause. Our cooperative pursuit will strengthen the spiritual and material aspects of humanity. Our efforts will also enrich modern Chinese culture, harmonize a disordered world, and achieve the ideals advocated and shared by all people in our same camp yesterday, today and tomorrow-----love is universal.

Although 6 decades have passed since the establishment of People’s Republic of China, the concept of social innovation is still pretty new for the nation and its people. With the rapid growth of China’s economy and the increasing number of oversea students, there emerge a number of NGOs and social enterprises established by oversea students. Their unique intelligence and global vision enable them to dedicate to the development of Chinese society. However, the cultural gaps between the eastern and western worlds, the lack of resources, and immaturity of Chinese legal system have lots of barriers to those passionate but inexperienced student leaders. We believe that the existence of a certain institute that can provide those social organizations with professional support of different fields will enable them to make larger social impact. Therefore, the BCSSA Social Innovation Incubator comes out.

BCSSA will hold “Realize Impact, Social Entrepreneur” Gala at International House on April 25th, 2010 as the launch ceremony of the “Incubator”. We will invite social elites and student leaders to discuss the status quo and future of the NGOs and social enterprises in China.
